3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz went 1-for-3 with a single, a walk, and an RBI in a 4-2 loss to the Padres on Friday. Diaz and starting pitcher Kyle Freeland were the only Rockies to pick up an RBI on Friday. Diaz drew a bases-loaded walk off of Reiss Knehr in the top of the second inning to put Colorado on the board but the next three batters would retire in order to squander a golden opportunity to put up more runs. The 30-year-old backstop has been on fire over his last 15 games, slashing .354/.446/.771 to go along with six home runs, 11 RBI, and a stellar 5:8 K/BB ratio. He's still batting just .208 with a .668 OPS on the season due to a poor start to the year. He's become an asset in two-catcher leagues and is worth adding in deep standard mixed leagues.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
