3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Chris Flexen was outstanding Saturday, shutting out the Los Angeles Angels over seven innings while only allowing three hits and two walks. He struck out six batters. This is the third time Flexen has gone at least seven scoreless, which is the most for any pitcher in the American League. Flexen has been reliable all year, if not spectacular, and even with the low strikeout rate of 63 in 92 1/3 innings, he's pitched himself into fantasy consideration with his 3.51 ERA and 1.21 WHIP.
