3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a single, two RBI, a walk, and a strikeout in a 3-0 win over the San Diego Padres on Saturday. Blackmon put the Rockies on the board in the top of the fifth inning when he swatted a two-run single off of Joe Musgrove to plate German Marquez and Raimel Tapia. It was his only hit of the contest but he would reach base with a walk as well. The veteran outfielder has had a quiet first half of the season with a .265 batting average and .731 OPS to go along with four home runs and 41 RBI across 279 at-bats. The lack of power has been the biggest surprise but he has a whole second half to turn things around.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
