4 years agoIn a battle of top welterweight contenders, Gilbert Burns (20-4) did just enough in his co-main-event battle with Stephen Thompson on Saturday to take a unanimous decision (29-28) on all three judges' scorecards. In 15 minutes of action, Burns tallied 29 significant strikes (101 total strikes) and landed three of his six takedown tries, including an important late third-round takedown.
