3 years agoNew York Yankees pitchers Wandy Peralta and Nestor Cortes have been placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Thursday. It's not yet clear whether Peralta and Cortes have contracted the virus, though they'd be able to return sooner if they aren't dealing with positive tests. Peralta has struggled this season, pitching to a 5.26 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 25 2/3 innings, leaving him off the fantasy radar. Cortes has been a strong contributor this season, coming off of a scoreless spot start against the Houston Astros, though he possesses limited upside and has only exceeded the four-inning mark once this season. The Yankees reinstated reliever Zack Britton (hamstring) from the injured list and selected the contract of Trey Amburgey in corresponding moves.--Tim Capurso
