Austin Hooper Hoping To Get Off To Fast Start
3 years agoCleveland Browns tight end Austin Hooper wound up as a fantasy bust last season after signing as a big-ticket free agent in 2020. Hooper finished with 46 catches for 435 yards and four touchdowns after hauling in at least 71 catches in each of the previous two campaigns while a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Hooper reportedly has excellent chemistry with quarterback Baker Mayfield and hopes that another year of continuity with the team will lead to a fast start for the offense. The veteran tight end could wind up as one of Mayfield's favorite targets in 2021, but his upside is capped thanks to a run-heavy Cleveland offense. Hooper is worth a look as a backup tight end in fantasy this season but he shouldn't be trusted as a TE1 for fantasy managers.
