Latavius Murray Slated For Backup Role
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Latavius Murray will look to build off a decent 2020 season as he is once again slated to be the team's RB2 behind Alvin Kamara in 2021. Murray amassed 146 carries for 656 rushing yards and four scores along with 23 receptions for 176 yards and a score on 26 targets in 15 games last season. Murray's role won't be that of a workhorse but he has proven he deserves a decent workload for this team. He doesn't face much competition for the RB2 role as the next man up on the depth chart would be Dwayne Washington, who only mustered 15 rushing yards total last season in 11 games. Murray's numbers aren't expected to be elite, meaning he should be considered as a flex piece heading into drafts.
