Andrew McCutchen Not In Lineup For First Game Of Doubleheader
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen is not in the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Marlins. Utilityman Brad Miller will fill in for McCutchen in left field and bat second versus Miami Starter Sandy Alcantara. McCutchen should be back in his usual cleanup slot for the nightcap so fantasy managers can leave him in starting lineups. The veteran outfielder got off to a rough start to the season, but proved he still has life in his bat during the month of June when he posted a 1.027 OPS. On the season McCutchen is batting .228 but has a strong .346 on-base percentage thanks to elite plate discipline metrics. He's a decent outfield option in traditional fantasy leagues, but McCutchen is a must-start player in OBP leagues.
