Tre'Quan Smith Set For WR2 Role
3 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith is set for the WR2 role on the Saints, but that is due more to a lack of talent at the position rather than his production. In three seasons with New Orleans, the UCF product has been rather disappointing, not finishing with more than 34 receptions or 448 yards in a single season. In 2020, Smith managed 34 receptions for 448 yards and four scores on 50 targets in 14 games. 2021 will be an important year for the WR as he has a chance to prove himself as a capable pass-catcher, especially with the Saints' lack of strong passing game options. For fantasy purposes, this WR is nothing more than depth in deep leagues.
