C.J. Cron Hits A Grand Slam On Friday
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and a walk in a 10-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday. Cron put the Rockies on the board in a major way when he took Julio Urias deep for a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning. It pulled Colorado within one run (5-4) but that would be as close as they'd get in the contest. Cron struggled over the final 15 games before the All-Star break, batting just .191, so this was a solid start to the rest of the season. He's batting .255 with a .846 OPS to go along with 13 home runs and 39 RBI over 235 at-bats this season. He could be in line for a big second half.
