3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Corey Kluber (shoulder) could toss a bullpen session by the end of next week. Kluber was able to advance from 75 feet to 120 in his flat-ground throwing program and could take the next big step of advancing to throwing off a bullpen mound. The veteran right-hander seems to be ahead of general manager Brian Cashman's forecast of a September return at this point, which is good news for both the Yankees and fantasy managers alike. Kluber was really starting to get comfortable on the mound before getting injured, having pitched to a 2.27 ERA in 31 2/3 innings in May. If he returns before September, he could still potentially provide teams a boost down the stretch as a fantasy hurler.--Tim Capurso
