3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (shoulder, groin) had his scheduled bullpen session scratched due to inclement weather Saturday. The Yankees are hoping that he'll be able to toss the session on Sunday instead, which would be his second live bullpen. The plan is for the right-hander to throw two more sessions before playing in rehab games. Severino is still on track for an August return after experiencing a setback with the groin injury in his first rehab stint, which is good news for those who have stashed him. He'll be a valuable contributor down the stretch if he can rediscover the form that saw him tally 220-plus strikeouts and sub 3.40 ERAs over 190 innings in each of his last full seasons.--Tim Capurso
