Yusei Kikuchi Ineffective In Loss Saturday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi took his fifth loss of the season Saturday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and one walk in five innings against the Los Angeles Angels. He struck out seven batters. This is Kikuchi's second start allowing at least five runs after an impressive streak that saw him give up no more than three runs in 11 straight starts dating back to April 29. Kikuchi now has a 3.92 ERA and 1.13 WHIP for the season with 105 strikeouts in 103 1/3 innings. Fantasy managers can have confidence that this is merely a bump in the road for the all-star.
