3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran made his first career start Saturday against the New York Yankees and wasted no time, lacing the first pitch he saw to center field for a single off starter Gerrit Cole. He would come around to score in that inning and go on to strike out and walk in his other two plate appearances of this rain-shortened game. Duran is expected to garner plenty of playing time in all three outfield spots going forward, and already has flashed the speed that will make him a major stolen base threat.
