3 years agoChicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras isn't in the team's lineup on Sunday as the Cubs take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Contreras is enjoying a strong season at the plate for Chicago, hitting .241 with a .350 on-base percentage, 14 home runs and three stolen bases in 323 plate appearances. However, he won't be getting the start against Arizona's Merrill Kelly. Instead, Robinson Chirinos is starting against the right-hander. Chirinos has recorded just nine plate appearances for the Cubs this season, registering a home run, three walks and a pair of singles.
