3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner isn't starting on Sunday night against the Boston Red Sox. Gardner is hitting .188 with a .305 on-base percentage, three home runs and a stolen base in 240 plate appearances this season. He'll be replaced by Greg Allen in center field for Sunday's contest against the Red Sox. Allen, who has logged just four plate appearances with the Yankees this season and who has a career .300 on-base percentage, will bat ninth against Boston left-hander Martin Perez.
