3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler allowed four runs across six innings with seven strikeouts while earning his seventh win of the season on Sunday. All of the damage versus Wheeler came in the third inning which soured his pitching line somewhat, however; Wheeler had another strong start throwing 68 of 101 pitches for strikes while picking up 12 swinging strikes and generating a 28 percent CSW rate. The right-hander is having a magnificent 2021 campaign as he's got a 2.44 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, and is sporting a career-high 30 percent strikeout rate.
