3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Taijuan Walker recorded just one out against the Pittsburgh Pirates Sunday, allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits and four walks. He also made an inexplicable mental error when he swatted what he thought was a foul dribbler towards the third-base dugout. The umpire ruled the ball fair, and three runs came around to score as a result. Walker was fortunate to avoid the loss when the Mets managed to come all the way back to win in the ninth inning. Walker will look to return to his all-star form in his next outing, currently expected to be against the Toronto Blue Jays.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
