Travis Blankenhorn Hits First Major-League Homer
3 years agoNew York Mets utility man Travis Blankenhorn played a key role in the comeback win over the Pittsburgh Pirates Sunday, hitting a pinch-hit three-run home run off of Pirates starter J.T. Brubaker in the fourth inning. It was his first major-league home run. Blankenhorn has enjoyed some success in his limited action this year, going 3-for-13 with four runs scored and four RBI. There doesn't appear to be a path to enough playing time to make him a viable fantasy option.
