Michael Conforto Blasts Go-Ahead Homer
3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto came through in a big way in the ninth inning of Sunday's contest against the Pittsburgh Pirates, blasting a go-ahead two-run home run off Pirates closer Richard Rodriguez. He also walked in five plate appearances. This follows up a two-double performance Saturday. Conforto has struggled mightily this season, but he's shown signs of life over his past seven games with a .263/.440/.684 slash line and two homers in that span. The buy-low window may be starting to close on the impending free agent.
