Yandy Diaz Crushes Two-Run Homer In Win Over Braves
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays' third baseman Yandy Diaz went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer during Sunday's 7-5 win over the Braves. He blasted a two-run shot off Luke Jackson in the seventh inning to extend the Rays lead to three runs. It was his fifth long ball of the season. He continues to wield a hot bat and has now recorded at least one hit in six of his last seven games. The 29-year-old is slashing .254/.344/.719 with five homers, 32 RBI, 37 runs scored, and 52 walks across 331 plate appearances in 2021. Diaz owns an elite 15.9 BB% and remains a strong option in OBP formats.
