3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman/outfielder Darin Ruf provided the team's only run in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Cardinals, going 1-for-1 with a solo homer and a walk. Ruf smashed a fourth-inning Wade LeBlanc offering into Big Mac Land for his 10th HR of the season. The veteran has been a surprising contributor at the plate this season, slashing .264/.396/.570 with 23 RBI. Most of his damage has come against left-handed pitchers, so his overall fantasy value remains limited.
