Dinelson Lamet Scheduled To Throw Live Batting Practice
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Dinelson Lamet (forearm) is a nearing a return, but fantasy managers shouldn't get too excited. He is scheduled to throw live batting practice at some point this week. Manager Jayce Tingler mentioned that Lamet is likely to go on a rehab assignment, assuming everything goes well during the live session. Lamet has been sidelined basically a month due to right forearm inflammation. The hope is that the Padres will get him back in early August. However, it doesn't sound like he'll be used as a traditional starter, so his fantasy value could be limited.
