Eric Ebron's Ceiling Is Limited
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers tight end Eric Ebron turned in a solid 2020 campaign, his first with the team. Ebron finished as a solid TE2, catching 56 passes for 558 yards and five touchdowns for the Steelers. This offseason, the Steelers used a third-round pick on promising Penn State tight end Pat Freiermuth. While Ebron should still open the season as the starter, Freiermuth could cut into his workload in the early-going if he acclimates quickly to the NFL. Even if Freiermuth doesn't make an impact in 2021, Ebron is still at best fourth in the target pecking order in Pittsburgh. He should be drafted as a low-end TE2 who can be used as a bye-week fill-in but who lacks much upside.
