Spenser Watkins Turns In Another Strong Start Monday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Spenser Watkins turned in his third consecutive solid start in Monday's 6-1 win over the Rays. Watkins pitched 6 innings, allowing a single run on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts. The 28-year-old rookie has looked great in a small sample this season for the O's, going 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA through his first three big-league starts. Fantasy managers should still wait to see more before considering trusting him, but Watkins is currently worth a spot on watch lists for his hot start. His next start will be telling against a tough Nationals matchup at home. Fantasy managers should watch from the sidelines for this one.
