3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios struggled in Monday's loss to the Chicago White Sox. Berrios pitched six innings, surrendering five runs on four hits, including a season-high three home runs. The right-hander did strike out eight batters and generated an impressive 16 swinging strikes, six of them on his changeup. Berrios struggled with location, leaving pitches over the zone on each of the home run balls. Despite the poor performance, Berrios is still the owner of a solid 3.69 ERA and a career-best 19.4 percent K-BB rate, which will make him a desirable target at the trade deadline. He is lined up to face the Angels next, who he struck out seven over five innings against earlier this year.--Tim Capurso
