3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates first baseman John Nogowski went 0-for-3 on Monday night, but extended his on-base streak to five games with a two-out walk in the seventh inning of a 4-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. Nogowski has been red-hot at the plate since joining Pittsburgh, slashing .422/.469/.511 with eight RBI and seven runs scored over 11 games. He figures to maintain the bulk of playing time at first base for as long as Colin Moran remains out with his fractured wrist. Nogowski is worth looking at in deeper formats for as long as he continues to hit like this, but once Moran returns from the IL it will become difficult for Nogowski to continue to see regular playing time.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
