3 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale (elbow) allowed one walk and no hits while striking out six across 3 2/3 scoreless innings during Tuesday's rehab start with Double-A Portland. The southpaw was impressive in his second rehab start on Tuesday. Sale threw 49 pitches, firing 34 for strikes. The Red Sox ace hit 98 mph on his fastball and felt good after his outing. "Today was a good day, definitely a step in the right direction; I felt good throughout the entire game," said Sale. The 32-year-old will need a few more rehab assignments before he's cleared to rejoin the Red Sox rotation. Fantasy managers should continue to stash Sale. Expectations need to be tempered as he returns from Tommy John surgery, but the upside is undeniable. Sale also recently revealed that he cut out junk food/processed foods and has increased his focus on nutrition. "That mixed with better sleeping patters and more hydration has helped me out a lot," Sale said.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
