Carlos Carrasco Lit Up In Tuesday’s Rehab Start
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring) allowed five earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out one across 1 2/3 innings during his rehab start with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday. He gave up three hits, all home runs, and was removed from the game after 41 pitches. The 34-year-old was scheduled to throw three innings but was pulled in the second frame after throwing 33 pitches. Despite the rough outing, Carrasco is on track to return to the Mets rotation and make his 2021 debut this weekend. Fantasy managers should continue to roster Carrasco after he posted a 2.91 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and an 83:27 K:BB across 68 innings for Cleveland in 2020, but after this rehab start, you should exercise caution whenever he makes his season debut.
