3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (hamstring) was pulled from Tuesday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth inning with what was described as right hamstring fatigue, according to Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago. Before his departure, he was 0-for-1 with a run scored. There was some speculation that maybe Bryant had been traded, but for now he's still a Cub. He's had a strong bounce-back season after a disappointing 2020, slashing .265/.345/.490 with 16 home runs, 48 RBI and 52 runs. Bryant has had his name brought up in trade rumors amid the Cubs recent struggles and is a likely candidate to be moved. It doesn't sound like Bryant's injury is very serious, but we'll likely know more on Wednesday. For now, consider him day-to-day.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
