German Marquez Surrenders Four Runs In Loss
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez took the loss on Tuesday when he allowed four runs on seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts over six innings in a 6-4 loss to the Seattle Mariners. Marquez actually had a shutout going until the sixth inning before coughing up a two-run double to Cal Raleigh and a go-ahead two-run shot to Dylan Moore. He would finish the frame but the damage was done as the Rockies weren't able to reclaim the lead. It was Marquez's seventh loss of the season but he still holds a stellar 3.50 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 119:44 K/BB ratio over 118 1/3 innings (20 starts). He'll face the Angels on the road in his next start and fantasy managers should play him with confidence in that one.
