3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton belted his 16th homer of the season in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Phillies. Stanton absolutely ripped a single, registering a 115.1 MPH exit velocity. He later homered, a 395-foot blast that left his bat at 104.5 MPH. Stanton has been in the midst of a slump in July, posting a .671 OPS in 49 at-bats, though his work at the plate in Tuesday night's game is encouraging for his prospects moving forward. He'll be a prime DFS play for Wednesday's slate when he faces off with Phillies' lefty Matt Moore, who has allowed a ton of hard contact and owns a .472 expected slugging percentage against.--Tim Capurso
