Blake Snell Picks Up Win Thursday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Blake Snell had a strong outing Thursday, earning the win in a 3-2 victory over the Miami Marlins. Snell went six innings, allowing one run on three hits and three walks while striking out eight batters. The win improves his record to 4-3. This is Snell's third quality start of the season and just his first since June 1. He has a 4.93 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and 104 strikeouts in 80 1/3 innings this season. He has plenty of name value, but the fantasy contributions have not lived up to his reputation this year. He simply isn't going deep enough into games to be worth the level of investment.
