Fernando Tatis Jr. Steals 23rd Base Thursday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. went 0-for-4 with a walk Thursday, but he did still steal a base and come around to score a run. It was his 23rd stolen base of the season, leaving him two swiped bags behind Whit Merrifield for the major league lead. Tatis Jr. now has 29 homers to go with those 23 steals, meaning a 30-30 season is practically assured. With his 1.018 OPS on the year, the only thing keeping Tatis Jr. from being the locked-in first overall pick in 2022 fantasy drafts is concern about his ability to stay healthy for a full year.
