3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Matt Moore allowed six runs in six innings in a loss to the Braves on Thursday. Moore actually wasn't terrible in this one aside from one inning that culminated with a grand slam off the bat of Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson. All the runs count, however, and Moore's ERA rose to 5.79 despite having his longest outing this season. Moore is best served in a long-relief role and he is the obvious candidate to leave the rotation if Philly trades for a starter before the July 31 trade deadline.
