3 years agoChicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant (hamstring) got back onto the field during Thursday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. He has been dealing with a lingering hamstring issue, but this was a positive sign. He came off the bench and recorded a walk in a pinch hit appearance versus lefty T.J. McFarland. Sadly, it was erased on a double play by Robinson Chirinos. Bryant had sat out each of the last two games before that. It's uncertain if the Cubs plan on getting him back into the lineup anytime soon. They probably don't want to risk an injury to their biggest trade chip right ahead of the trade deadline.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
