3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove recorded his first quality start since June 23 Friday, throwing six strong innings against the Miami Marlins. He gave up two runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts and was credited with his sixth win of the year to improve his record to 6-7. This outing will be a welcome sight for fantasy managers who roster Musgrove, as he's had a disappointing July with a 5.31 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 20 1/3 innings over four outings. He'll look to build on this start his next time out, slated to come against the Colorado Rockies at home in what should be a favorable matchup.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
