3 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk Friday against the Seattle Mariners. The homer, Chapman's 12th of the year, was a solo shot off Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. Chapman has fared much better against lefties this season, with a .772 OPS and seven homers in 121 at-bats versus a .645 OPS and five homers in 216 at-bats against righties. It's been a disappointing offensive campaign for the elite defender, and he no longer deserves to be considered a must-start in fantasy lineups.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
