3 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Jordy Mercer (calf) was placed on the 10-day injured list. The 34-year-old veteran is currently dealing with a left leg strain, and it's even more unfortunate considering he was just activated from the IL over a week ago after spending time on the shelf with a right quad strain. Although Mercer has fantasy upside in the right situation, his inability to remain healthy significantly lowers his ceiling. As a result, he can be safely dropped.
