3 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Ryan Weathers (ankle) returned on Saturday against the Marlins. Making his first appearance since landing on the 10-day injured list with right ankle inflammation, the 21-year-old pitched four scoreless innings, allowing two hits while striking out four. He also was impressive as a hitter, cracking a 421-foot solo shot to left field in the top of the third inning. Weathers has been a relatively reliable fantasy option, currently sitting on a 2.91 ERA and a 4-2 record throughout 11 starts this season.
