3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu was handed a six-run lead on Saturday, but was unable to go five innings as he settled for a no-decision in their 10-3 win over the Mets. The southpaw tossed four-shutout frames to begin the game before getting pulled with one out in the fifth after allowing five-straight hits. Three runners came around to score in the frame as he finished the night with 10 hits allowed and a 4/1 K/BB in the 77-pitch effort. It was a bit of a letdown that Ryu couldn't hang in long enough to earn the win as his record sits at 9-5 with a 3.44 ERA and 1.18 WHIP through 110 IP. He hasn't pitched his sharpest over the last month and a half, so managers will have to decide if they want to start him on the road next week against a formidable Red Sox club.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
