Brett Phillips Crushes Fifth Homer On Saturday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run, and an additional run scored in Saturday's 8-2 win over Cleveland. He took J.C. Mejia deep in the third inning for his fifth long ball of the season. The 27-year-old has provided solid fantasy value this season by slashing .205/.308/.357 with five homers, 20 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 32 runs scored through 200 plate appearances. Phillips doesn't see every day at-bat as the Rays' fourth outfielder and is mainly an option for fantasy managers in search for speed in deep-league formats.
