3 years agoColorado Rockies catcher Dom Nunez went 1-for-4 with a home run and two strikeouts in a 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Nunez was locked into a battle with starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani in the top of the fifth inning. He fouled off three pitches and worked three balls before he swatted the seventh pitch over the wall in right field. It was Nunez's sixth home run of the season and his first since way back on May 1. The 26-year-old catcher is batting .173 with a .648 OPS, six home runs, 25 RBI, and 70 strikeouts across 162 at-bats. Elias Diaz is the backstop to roster in two-catcher leagues, no Nunez.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
