Trea Turner Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner tested positive for COVID-19 during Tuesday's contest against the Philadelphia Phillies. The 27-year-old went 1-for-1 with a run scored before exiting. He was removed in the first inning of Tuesday's game for undisclosed reasons. It was later revealed Turner wasn't traded and that he tested positive for COVID-19 and was immediately pulled per MLB protocols. The Nationals star shortstop is expected to be placed on the COVID injured list and be away from the team until he clears healthy and safety protocols. Alcides Escobar shifted from second base to shortstop while Josh Harrison moved from outfield to the keystone. Fantasy managers should be prepared to be without Turner for the foreseeable future and adjust their rosters accordingly.
