Jerad Eickhoff Left To Allow 10 Runs Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff had a disaster of an outing Tuesday, allowing 10 runs on seven hits and five walks in just 3 1/3 innings against the Atlanta Braves. He struck out four batters. The Mets were simply in need of outs in this one with the bullpen heavily taxed, so Eickhoff was left in the game long after it became clear that he would not find success. He can be expected to be cut from the roster in the coming days, which will mark the third time he's been designated for assignment for the Mets in just the past few weeks. He's clearly well off the fantasy radar.
