Austin Gomber Cruises To Win Over The Angels
3 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber earned the win on Tuesday when he allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts over six innings in a 12-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Gomber had it easy on Tuesday as the Rockies' offense spotted him 10 runs over the first five innings. He still did a solid job keeping the Angels at bay; the only runs he allowed were courtesy of a two run-blast by Shohei Ohtani in the fifth inning. The 27-year-old southpaw now owns an 8-5 record, 3.69 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 86:26 K/BB ratio over 90 1/3 innings (17 starts) He'll get the loaded Padres on the road in his next start.
