Manuel Margot Reaches Base Twice In Return
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Manuel Margot (hamstring) went 1-for-4 with a walk and was caught stealing during Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Yankees. He was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game after missing three weeks due to a strained left hamstring. The 26-year-old reached base twice and was caught stealing for the fifth time on Tuesday. He is slashing .252/.298/.401 with nine home runs, 44 RBI, 32 runs scored, and five stolen bases across 77 games in 2021. With the Rays acquisition of star-designated hitter Nelson Cruz, Margot could see fewer at-bats. Margot will primarily compete with Kevin Kiermaier for playing time, which makes him mainly an option in deep-league formats.
