Jarren Duran Out Of Game 1 Lineup On Wednesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran is not in the lineup for the first game of the team's doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. Duran has collected four hits, a home run, two walks, and a pair of RBI in his first 28 Major League plate appearances. Alex Verdugo is starting in center field and batting sixth against left-handed starter Robbie Ray. J.D. Martinez is in left field and batting third, with Kevin Plawecki getting the start at designated hitter. Plawecki is hitting seventh. Considering Verdugo and Martinez start most days for Boston, this is essentially Plawecki replacing Duran in the lineup. Plawecki is batting .267 with a .329 on-base percentage and a home run in 83 plate appearances this season. You're probably better off looking elsewhere for streaming help on Wednesday.
