3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers first baseman Daniel Vogelbach (hamstring) has been sent to Triple-A Nashville to begin a rehab assignment, the team announced through Twitter on Thursday. Vogelbach has been out since the end of June after suffering a hamstring strain while running from third base to home on an RBI single. This is a good sign for Vogelbach, who has been primarily only an option in deeper formats this year thanks to his .216/.323/.386 triple-slash line, seven home runs, 16 RBI and 23 runs scored over 67 games this season. Rowdy Tellez has filled in at first base most recently for Milwaukee, and could make a case to hang on to the starting job even after Vogelbach is healthy, as Tellez is slashing .344/.450/.656 with three homers, 10 RBI and six runs scored over 14 games with the Brewers.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
