3 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Yan Gomes made his return from the injured list Thursday and went 2-for-3 with his ninth home run of the season in the first game of a doubleheader against the Philadelphia Phillies. The two-run shot came off of Phillies starter Zack Wheeler, and proved to be the game-winner. Gomes figures to be one of the next players to go in the Nationals' sell-off, and it remains to be seen what that will do to his fantasy value. Likelihood is he'll do no better than a split in playing time wherever he goes, leaving him off the fantasy radar in single-catcher leagues.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
